In an apple grove snuggled against the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Orchard House was built, stone by stone, by one man in the first part of the last century. Both urban and rural, the place feels like a world unto itself. Hiking trails meander into the hills just steps from the old gates. Boulder’s famous dining scene sparkles down below.
In the summer, a dark swimming pool surrounded by trees cools the spirit. A small creek flows from the top of the property where a big hammock looks up through willow leaves to the sky.
The kitchen can seat twelve (or one!) at the ancient refectory table and is easy for group-cooking. The living room is a cozy fireside salon. Outdoor rooms around the grounds offer options for solitude or community.
